De Niro filed for divorce in December from wife, Grace Hightower. Details have emerged in their divorce case, and apparently the pair are fighting over the interpretation of a prenuptial agreement from 2004.
Under the terms of the prenuptial agreement, Ms. Hightower would be entitled to much less than half of De Niro’s money. She is arguing that she is entitled to much more and was left in the dark about their financial status since 2008.
The pair will likely head to mediation in the hopes that they will be able to find a compromise.
The pair will also need to work out a custody plan for their minor daughter. They also have a 21-year-old son.
